School, Work, Vacation, & Wedding stuff

I know I have this blog as well as one set up for Colton and I, however I never remember to update either one, So I am not sure if this is going to be a really long or really short blog. Lol.

So for starters the wedding planning is coming along nicely, only 5 more months to go! I am super excited I feel like I have a ton left to plan, but that may just be stress, because I am sure once school starts January is gonna be here before I even know it! :)  I listed the link to our wedding website, it has our registry info on listed. Our Wedding Website.  Also I am going to start making my bouquet soon so if anyone has any brooches that they don't want anymore, I will gladly use them in my bouquet! :) :)

Similar to what I want to make

I have my fall semester all squared away, which I am hoping is going to be a really good semester because I get to start my cooking :) I have one day where that's all I do. I mean all! That class is have the day, then the lab is the second half. I am also glad the way my schedule turned out because it doesn't really effect my work schedule too much so I can still put away some money for the house Colton and I are still trying to find. lol ;)

Lastly, Colton and I went to Round Rock this past weekend, which is slowly becoming my favorite place. lol. If you remember Round Rock Express last year when we went, we left with Josh Hamilton's Bat! This year I didn't leave with a bat but it was a really nice vacation specially after I was sick with strep for the first time in years just a few days before we left.  So Colton and I left early Friday afternoon, and checked into our more of a mini-apartment than hotel room a little after 6. We went and ate dinner than just relaxed the rest of the night.  Really we relaxed the entire weekend, aside from going to the game and out to eat we just stayed inside and read. I know to pretty much everyone else that sounds like a wasted weekend but for two bookworms, (well a bookworm and her fiance) It was really nice. I felt way more relaxed on my way home then I have in quite a while.

The Awesome Shirt I picked up in RR

And last but not least the end of this month is Mine and Colton's 2 year anniversary. :) Even though when January comes around we will have a different anniversary, it still feels good to know that we have our 2 year mark coming around, :)!

The moment he took my breath away!

So for those I haven't told the story to yet this is how my amazing boyfriend became my amazing Fiance! :)

So Colton has decided that he is going into the Air Force, so we have been trying to get everything for that figured out, with him deciding to join, he also decided that he wanted us to be married before he left for basic training, with that came some anticipation on my part lol.

To start things off Jeanie (Colton's mom) and I have started a training program called Couch to 5K, and we have had colton come running with us to be our motivator lol. We went for our scheduled run on Thursday night, it was a rough run but colton kept pushing me! Afterwards we decided that we were hungry and went and picked up some food. While sitting at the dinner table we started joking around and I made a joke and teased colton about us not being engaged yet, thinking that he was still working on saving up money for a ring. After dinner colton started to clean up the kitchen and I went outside to see my puppy since she now lives with him. I was enjoying playing with Zena when suddenly colton came outside and called me over. I made a comment about zena being silly when colton stated that he "had thought a lot about it".  At first I was confused by this statement and asked "Thought about what?" at that point colton pulled out this maroon box from Helzberg then got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! I immediately said yes! He stood up and all I could do was hug and kiss him! I just didn't want to let go! I didn't care that we were wearing basketball shorts and t-shirts ( matching ones at that) and were all sweaty and gross from going running. Nothing was more perfect than the way that he decided to ask. It was great in every way possible!
The next hour consisted of us calling and texting everyone we could as well as me crying every time I called someone! I was so excited I couldn't sleep that night! Thankfully it was spring break and I didn't need to be up too early the next day.
My ring is absolutely gorgeous he did such a good job picking it out that I can't stop staring at it! I want to show it off to everyone when ever I can! lol
I am a very lucky woman and I cannot wait to become Mrs. Peel! :D

I am currently trying to come up with a title for our wedding site and blog that I am gonna put together, then I will post the updates for the wedding, I have already started planning! :D

Long Time No Blog.

I realized that I have not blogged in a while, partially cuz I forgot that I had a blog, and partially because I am not too sure what to right about. This is basically a filler post, a lot has gone on but nothing fully solid yet except for I am back in school. I am only taking 2 classes this semester but I am about to dive back in and start taking a handful of classes each semester. I am planning on getting a degree in Culinary Arts. I will most likely end up becoming a pastry chef, but I am not officially 100% on that part yet, depends on which classes I like better. I am 100% on Culinary Arts though.

I am currently trying to finish packing up my apartment because I will be moving back to Burleson to live with my parents. I desperately need to save money, clearly this trying to live on my own working 2 jobs did not turn out as well as I had originally planned it to. That however is how life works, and I am ok with that because things already seem to be looking up.

Short I know but that's all I got right now!

1 Full year!

Today is mine and Colton's one year anniversary, (well one year is stretching it a little bit). Today is not the day that we started dating again, just the day we started talking again, the day we started dating came much later. (However neither one of us can remember that exact date.) We've never really had a normal relationship so it's only normal that we have an abnormal anniversary. lol.

I am grateful that I have been able to spend this year with someone that I care so much about and with someone who cares so much about me. Colton and I have always had our ups and downs but no matter what we always work things out.  I am so blessed to have Colton in my life, he always know how to make me smile if I've had a bad day, or takes care of me when I'm sick.
Plus if Colton can put up with my attitude and personality for this long then there is no doubt in my mind how much he loves me. Lol

Now I wont make this a very long post, cuz I know that no one wants to read a really long lovey dovey post. I mean ew I wouldn't even want to read that! But since it is our "anniversary" I felt the need to brag about my amazing boyfriend for a little bit. :)

Happy Anniversary Colton! I love you!

James.

This blog will be short but it needs to be posted. I have listed a link to my sisters blog.  It is about her friends baby boy James who was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor at 7 months old.  I couldn't help but crying after reading this. I cannot imagine what this family is going through, all I can do is lift them up in prayer!

Just Random Thoughts

I realized that I am not quite sure why I have a blog.  I don't update very often and I don't ever really have much to say, I was sick and had time to post but still didn't have much to say.   So here is my latest post of random thoughts I've had the past week or two.

TV
True Blood season 4 premiered recently so of course I had to watch it! I have read all the books of course!  Anyways so season 1 followed the book almost (and I use the term loosely) exact, of course there were a few minor changes and a side story or two added in but over all was pretty close.  Season 2 decided to get a little more crazy but the main point still followed the book, just one major side story added in to the show that was very small in the book, but we are still good on the show meeting the book. Season 3 comes along and some people are still alive that shouldn't be but again the main story line is still pretty much the same. (Colton watches the seasons with me when they come out on DVD so he knows everything that's wrong lol.)  Now Season 4 just premiered, I watched the first episode and the only thing about this first episode and the book are that the main character's name is Sookie, her two vampires are Bill and Eric, and her brother is named Jason..... THAT'S IT!!! The story line, the time line... EVERYTHING is wrong!! Now I have seen several books turned movies and yea I get a lil frustrated but not near as frustrated as this!!! Movies at least keep most things similar to the book.  And after 3 seasons of staying pretty accurate with the book why would you go and throw it all off like that!! Now I am gonna keep an open mind and watch a few more episodes but I think True Blood maybe a show I have to stop watching... *tear*

Softball!
I joined a softball team last June that consisted of a bunch of people from my old church, and aside from our first season when we were first place with maybe 2 losses. Well ever since that season we had been undefeated, which after 3 seasons started getting a lil boring. My coach kept telling us that we were in the D league (which is the hardest league).  I had played in D league on a previous team on Mondays and thought there was no way we should be undefeated... Maybe Thursday D league is different than Mondays. Well come to find out that we were not in D league but in E league. This season we are in D league and are now 0-2.  Now I know I wanted competition but I didn't want competition to loose too, just someone to give us a closer game so we weren't run ruling every game.... well I guess I got my wish. First game lost 11-9, yesterday's game 12-9... Batting cages here I come!

Veggie Burgers!
Colton's dad Mark always gives me a hard time about not eating meat... (well.. ok everyone does.) He told me once that meat tasted like Murder, and that Murder tastes good! For this past Christmas I thought it would be funny to get Mark a veggie burger as a present. (I hid a steak underneath for his murder fix lol.).
Well last night after my softball game Colton and I went to his parents for dinner, his mom had cooked the veggie burgers that I bought Mark for me. We realized after being cooked they smelled horrible, I then tasted one to learn that tasted just as bad as it smelled. Now the type of veggie burger I bought was Cheeseburger meatless patties.... So basically tofu and cheese... ya BARF!  It looked, smelled, and tasted bad. Mark had a good ol' time laughing at me, and then Colton tried to feed me a real hamburger.. (He failed).  Now since I don't eat meat (since i hate the taste) I am down for trying new things like veggie burgers... but never again will I try that brand, or flavor.... I am gonna go to MooYah! A restaurant should have good veggie burgers since they aren't flash frozen and Horrid! I give props to Mama for trying but I think I will stick to the grilled chicken sandwich Sunday instead of the veggie patty.... (Yes I eat Chicken!)

Round Rock Express!!

This weekend I went to Round Rock, TX with Colton and his parents to watch Round Rock Express vs Colorado Springs. I had never been to a Triple-A baseball game so I was excited to go, it was something new and a chance to get away for a bit.
This trip starts off like any other family trip, make sure the pets are taken care of, everyone has to be packed and ready super early in the morning. (Well of course I am always late so colton was a lil frustrated by the time we got to his parents.)
We get on the road and we plan on eating breakfast in West but other then that I was supposed to have a list of things for us to do in Round Rock to waste time before we could check into our hotel.  Well there is nothing to do in Round Rock!! Colton mentions that Inner Space Cavern is along the way so we went there and toured the caves. We learned that they have an adventure tour where you get to crawl throughout the caves..... it's a 5hr tour! Colton and I plan on doing it at some point. I am excited!! lol.

Fast forward a bit and we are now at Dell Diamond. Me and Colton are waiting to get into the gate while his parents park the car, well this family gets behind us, and one of the boys is rather irritating so we couldn't wait to get into the park, well those guys ended up sitting right next us during the game.
So the game gets going, it was fun a lot of foul balls into the stands none close enough for us to catch which ended up being ok with us!!

Most exciting part of the game came around the 6 or 7th inning. This Round Rock game double not only as a Triple-A game but also as a Rehab game for Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz from the Rangers! (It was also Josh Hamilton's Birthday!) Josh Hamilton #13 for the night (my lucky number ;]) gets up to bat, he had been doing pretty well prior hitting in a few players with a home run. So he gets up gets a ball or 2 thrown his way, then see's a pitch that kind of threw him off, he swung hard and lost his bat. It went flying into the stands hitting a row of seats just a few away from where we were sitting it bounced up and Mark dove for it and grabbed it!! It was fantastic! Not two seconds after Mark sat back down a guy came over offering to buy it for $200. After a while Colton and Mark got up and went and found a sharpie and went to wait for a chance to get Hamilton to sign the bat.
The game ended (Round Rock won of course!) and Colton gets an usher to take the bat to Hamilton. 5 Mins later the usher returns with the bat autographed!  Everyone was taking pictures of the bat and wanting to touch it, it was crazy!
As we are walking out of the stadium we run into the family who earlier got Nelson Cruz's bat that he had broke early in the game also autographed, and we were able to take pictures of both bats together!

Needless to say Fantastic weekend!!
