Blackmail Indeed!

For those who read this if you know my family well enough and believe that my lovely older sister is above blackmailing me for her own personal gain.... Think again!
This is of course a blog response to my sisters early blog of "Blackmail at its finest" (Link of course listed below.)
http://thescottlandyard.blogspot.com/2011/04/blackmail-at-its-finest.html

If you have read the above post then you will see one example of my sisters use of blackmail. We have of course grown over the years started to talk more and blackmail is not used quite as often. Except for of course the rumors we started about each other when we worked in the same office.

However my sister has stooped to a new low. She has blacked mailed me for....

A Sonic Coke!

I will not be able to hold my precious nephew on Easter Sunday if I do not bring her the fizzy beverage that she desires. I feel so used.
Such a huge thing taken from me if I do not pay up with such a cheap drink. lol

Alright Lovely sister, I will bring your drink, but you have to be nice to my Boyfriend, since I am bringing him with me!

Love you!
Alyssa

Music

So I definitely didn't realize how long it has been since I pulled out my guitar and played a few strings.
I pulled it out today, I am short a string cuz one broke, but I can't figure out how to take it off.. lol (never changed strings on my electric before..) I need to pull out my acoustic the next time I am at my parents.
I am trying to learn how to play the song "Better than Revenge" by Taylor Swift.. but learning to play a song is kind of hard when you are trying to remember the chords and finger placements... lol

Oh I forgot how much I enjoyed playing my guitar.... But the joy felt definitely doesn't come without the bad memories about playing as well.

None the less I am definitely kind of enjoying the sensation of digging out the old memories of when I learned to play. lol
I should try to practice a few times a week/month just to keep my memory fresh, It's also kind of invigorating learning a song that isn't a Christian hymn like all the songs I learned a while back.

Alright I guess time to go back to working on remembering how to play.

Book Reviews

I finally finished that horrid book! It ended exactly like I figured it would... stupid!  I then started reading a new book and it's about trolls, WHICH was not listed in the description! So I am not even gonna bother with that trilogy. I am starting to read The Strain, which is a vampire book series my dad read, he said I would like them so i am taking his word for it. lol. I am also going to jump back into some of my other series that i put on hold.
I hate looking at them knowing I haven't finished the series.

So with this post I will leave with a question.
Should i keep this blog a book review blog?
Or should I blog like everyone else seems to?

Everybody's a Critic!

So being my first post I know that I should post something witty and funny, or a long story about my life.. BUT... Not today!

So I am reading this book Trilogy called "The Looking Glass Wars". It is kind of a play on story of "Alice and Wonderland." The first book was Fantastic!! One or Two slow points but great none the less. I am now on the 3rd book (Thank Gawd!) and it is not so great.. the 2nd book was extremely slow, and had very little action in it but the ending was good.... which is why I continued on to the 3rd book. I really want to stop reading the series but I am one of those very avid readers that once I start a series I can't stop (Even though I am in the middle of 3 series that I have not finished.... Now that I have my nook I should probably start back up with those series.....) I am halfway done with the 3rd book now so I feel like since I have made it this far I can finish it... however hard it may be.

I love reading! I definitely hate finding series like these that make reading feel like a chore...

I am also in the middle of several more series, and have found a few others... I think My Nook may end up being the death of me if I keep finding series like these.
