Round Rock Express!!

This weekend I went to Round Rock, TX with Colton and his parents to watch Round Rock Express vs Colorado Springs. I had never been to a Triple-A baseball game so I was excited to go, it was something new and a chance to get away for a bit.
This trip starts off like any other family trip, make sure the pets are taken care of, everyone has to be packed and ready super early in the morning. (Well of course I am always late so colton was a lil frustrated by the time we got to his parents.)
We get on the road and we plan on eating breakfast in West but other then that I was supposed to have a list of things for us to do in Round Rock to waste time before we could check into our hotel.  Well there is nothing to do in Round Rock!! Colton mentions that Inner Space Cavern is along the way so we went there and toured the caves. We learned that they have an adventure tour where you get to crawl throughout the caves..... it's a 5hr tour! Colton and I plan on doing it at some point. I am excited!! lol.

Fast forward a bit and we are now at Dell Diamond. Me and Colton are waiting to get into the gate while his parents park the car, well this family gets behind us, and one of the boys is rather irritating so we couldn't wait to get into the park, well those guys ended up sitting right next us during the game.
So the game gets going, it was fun a lot of foul balls into the stands none close enough for us to catch which ended up being ok with us!!

Most exciting part of the game came around the 6 or 7th inning. This Round Rock game double not only as a Triple-A game but also as a Rehab game for Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz from the Rangers! (It was also Josh Hamilton's Birthday!) Josh Hamilton #13 for the night (my lucky number ;]) gets up to bat, he had been doing pretty well prior hitting in a few players with a home run. So he gets up gets a ball or 2 thrown his way, then see's a pitch that kind of threw him off, he swung hard and lost his bat. It went flying into the stands hitting a row of seats just a few away from where we were sitting it bounced up and Mark dove for it and grabbed it!! It was fantastic! Not two seconds after Mark sat back down a guy came over offering to buy it for $200. After a while Colton and Mark got up and went and found a sharpie and went to wait for a chance to get Hamilton to sign the bat.
The game ended (Round Rock won of course!) and Colton gets an usher to take the bat to Hamilton. 5 Mins later the usher returns with the bat autographed!  Everyone was taking pictures of the bat and wanting to touch it, it was crazy!
As we are walking out of the stadium we run into the family who earlier got Nelson Cruz's bat that he had broke early in the game also autographed, and we were able to take pictures of both bats together!

Needless to say Fantastic weekend!!

Theatrical input of the masses!

So Colton and I just had our 8 month anniversary! I really can't believe that we have been together this long. I know that is sad to say, and with those who know our past are probably just as surprised.
There are a few times where we will be hanging out and I will bring up something that we did and it amazes me just how long ago that was.

I am extremely happy knowing that we are still going strong and are just as happy at our 8 month mark as we were at our 8th day. (even though really was like some odd hundredth day).

My sister always tells me not to be that girl that I always talk about, you know the one in the crappy relationship with the guy that doesn't give 2 cents about her but she constantly goes back to him and lets herself get treated poorly in the name of "Love".
Well I was that girl for a little while.

A relationship story most have already heard.....

Colton and I met when I was a freshman in high school. We were assigned lab partners by our biology teacher, along with a friend of mine.  I was kind of excited when we got our assignments because I thought Colton was cute and I had a small crush on him.  Thankfully my friend Alison was also in our lab group because Colton never talked! (and as everyone knows I talk way too  much!)  He eventually started talking and we had small banters back and forth, I soon found out he had a gf and was slightly upset but moved on. (of course still flirting while in class).  Soon after we were reassigned lab partners Colton started "borrowing" my water bottles. I would reach for it to take a drink and would notice it gone, after a few days of this I discovered where my water bottles were disappearing to.
I started coloring on them and making them personal so that I would be 100% sure the next time he would take the bottle. Sure enough my rainbow striped water bottle was spotted near Colton's desk. I started sneaking over to retrieve the "borrowed" water bottle after simply sharpening a pencil or throwing something in the recycle bin. This was our pattern for the rest of the year. ( oh there was also the occasional picking up and dropping of my desk if I wasn't paying attention when he walked by.)

After that I never really saw him around school except for one other time when I almost ran into him in the hallway, (literally ran into him) he made a comment about a nickname he gave me and then we went on our separate ways. (Yes Mama P I did leave the Rat story out of the first paragraph!)

My senior year finally came and I hadn't really thought about Colton much, seeing as he had graduated and moved elsewhere, but of course when you forget about someone is when they pop back up.  I had art class with this boy who I always sat next to since our last names were side by side alphabetically.  We talked and flirted but nothing serious, then one day he mentions to another classmate about his older brother who graduated a year prior.
"Who?" I had to ask, since i was friends with a handful of the kids who graduated the year prior.
"Oh you don't know him" The boy replied....
"Try me.."
"Colton Peel"
".................................. Seriously?!"
"Yea why?"
"I know him.. We were lab partners my freshman year.... He gave me a rather..... unfortunate nickname."

And so of course I start thinking about Colton again wondering what he is up to, or if he even remembers who I am. I tried to get his number from his brother but was "unsuccessful". (The brother doesn't know I snooped in his phone when he got up and left it sitting on his desk (< )

Graduation Finally comes around! After the ceremony we were all gathered and talking about our lives ahead, I happened to look over and standing there looking at me was Colton, I walked over gave him a hug talked for a bit, then of course when asked gave him my number.

Most know the story from here where we talked started dating were sickening to be around because we were "so in love!" Now I am not saying that we didn't love each other, but in love is a different story.  We weren't really meant for each other just yet. We had to grow up, mature, and find ourselves again after the struggles that we had been through that year.
We then tried again a few times and it was the same thing, we weren't the right people for each other just yet.
We kept going through trials and pain thinking that we were ready for each other when we weren't.
I don't know for sure because life changes and things don't always go the way that we have planned, but we are finally the people that we need to be for the other one to be happy.
This time things are finally worked out!
